Building Skills for the Future
Construction provides students with a hands-on introduction to the skills, techniques and safety practices used across the building industry. Through practical projects and workshop experiences, boys develop confidence with tools, materials and construction processes while learning the importance of precision, teamwork and craftsmanship. The subject establishes a strong foundation for future trade pathways and further vocational study.
Senior Preparation (Year 10)
Creating, Building and Mastering Practical Skills
Year 10 Construction develops students’ practical abilities through authentic building projects and industry-focused learning.
Boys learn to safely use tools, interpret plans, apply joinery techniques and complete timber construction tasks. Through individual and collaborative projects, students strengthen their problem-solving, technical skills and workplace readiness while preparing for future construction pathways and apprenticeships.
