The Impact of the Jack Ross Bursary

Formally established in 2007 through a Trust Deed initiated by the Nudgee College Old Boys' Association (NCOBA), the Jack Ross Bursary was founded on a simple, powerful vision: to provide young men from all backgrounds with the life-changing gift of a Nudgee College education.

The College and the NCOBA are now driving a revitalised effort to build the fund's reserves, ensuring that financial hardship never stands in the way of potential. By supporting families in need, this bursary celebrates the rich diversity that defines our community, transforming character and aspiration into a limitless future. This vital mission relies on the ongoing generosity and enduring partnership of our parents, Old Boys, and friends.

Donations of $2 or more are 100% tax-deductible.

One of the greatest things a person can do is plant a seed that will one day grow to be a great tree that will give shade to people they have never known, that is giving.

The Legacy of Jack Ross

The bursary is named in honour of John (Jack) Elliott Ross, an iconic figure whose connection to the College spanned over 60 years (1908-1972). A highly respected student, teacher, coach, and Secretary of the Nudgee College Old Boys Association (NCOBA), Jack Ross embodied the 'Nudgee Spirit' that we continue to foster in our students today.
