St Joseph’s Nudgee College instils the Gospel values of kindness, faith and social justice in all that we do. We aspire to bring the teachings and example of Jesus Christ to life through our words, thoughts and actions. Every Nudgee student is called to be a Signum Fidei, or Sign of Faith

Our mission is not just a statement but a lived reality; exemplified through various student engagement programs. We need our students to be positive global citizens, to learn outside of the classroom and to broaden their horizons. This is made possible through our commitment to prayer, liturgy, Mass, retreats, and participation in local and international Immersion programs. Furthermore, our boys volunteer countless hours to lead social justice and sustainability programs such as working with the homeless, supporting special needs schools. visiting the elderly, caring for the sick, and being stewards of our environment. We nurture our students to demonstrate empathy and compassion through their actions and create a culture where students are not just passive recipients of knowledge, but active agents of positive change.

A Proud Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition

Nudgee College is proudly a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition. We build on the profound impact and influence that the Christian Brothers have had in Australia for more than 150 years. Our mission as an Edmund Rice Education Australia school is to offer a liberating education, based on a gospel spirituality, within an inclusive community which is committed to justice and solidarity.

Coming together as a community in prayer has been one of the foundations of the College since 1891. The College community gathers regularly with a weekly Sunday night Mass for the Boarding community and a Mass each semester for every House in the day school.

Each year, students attend retreats which provide opportunities for reflection, spiritual growth and collaboration with their peers. From the Signum Fidei Retreat for our youngest students, to travelling to Immersions and Karios, each boy has unique experiences with faith, courage, spirituality, and leadership.
