Everything You Need to Know

How many students are at Nudgee College?

Nudgee College has over 1,700 students, which includes 300 Junior School students (Years 5 and 6) and 320 Boarding students (Years 7 to 12).

How many positions are available?

Day Students:

  • Year 5 - 150 positions available
  • Year 7 - 35 positions available

Boarding Students:

  • Year 7 - 40 positions available
  • Year 9 - 20 positions available

Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to progress every applicant to the interview stage.

What documents do I need to submit as part of the application?

We require copies of the following documentation to be added to your son's application:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
  • Two most recent semester report cards
  • NAPLAN results
  • Cover Letter
  • Student Interest Form (handwritten by the student)
  • Documentation relating to any Learning Support, Professional Assessments etc (if applicable)
  • Visa/Passport/Citizenship Documents (if not born in Australia)
What should be included in the Cover Letter?

Given the high volume of applications, families are required to submit a cover letter alongside their application. This letter plays a crucial role in providing information not captured in the application form, such as your reasons for applying, any prior connections to the College, and what your son and family will contribute to the Nudgee College community.

What is the interview like?

For students progressing to this stage, the interview is an opportunity to get to know your son, his interests, favourite subjects at school and also answer any questions you may have.

While we understand it may not always be possible, our preference is for all parents/guardians to attend the interview with their son.

Can I change my son's entry once we have accepted a position?

If you complete the enrolment process and decide at a later date to defer his entry, his application will be moved to the waitlist for consideration if places become available.

If you have previously submitted a Stage 1 application but wish to change this prior to the process starting for Stage 2 - please contact the Admissions team so we can update your son’s file to ensure you receive the correct communications for the cohort.

Please see this guide for information about to help you decide between Year 5 and Year 7 entry.

What are the school fees?

The documents below show the advertised fee schedule for 2026.

Fees are subject to an annual increase in accordance with the College’s budget. Fees are assessed and confirmed in the December preceding the following year.
