Student Life
The Student Formation Program is designed to move well beyond the concept of Pastoral Care. It champions the wellbeing of all students through the implementation of the House system, counselling services, camp programs, as well as delivering curriculum content focussing on men’s health, digital citizenship, positive relationships, leadership and tools for success. At its core, the formation strives to develop the ‘Signum Fidei' graduate - a young man who, through his actions, is a sign of faith to the world. The Journey to 'Signum Fidei' Handbook provides a comprehensive overview of how this is achieved.
The House system and House Dean structure is our way of making a big school feel small. Through this, the College can create a welcoming atmosphere where every boy is treated as an individual and can engage in partnerships where they feel engaged and empowered.
Through a formal and informal program of student formation, Nudgee College strives to provide a school where students feel cared for, valued and happy.
The College currently subscribes to SchoolTV: a new interactive resource designed to inform and support parents with some of the challenges of raising adolescents. The website is produced by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, who along with contributions from many of Australia’s leaders on adolescent issues, provides a series of clear and fact-based informative videos on the major issues of the teenage world. Bullying and Harassment
The College is committed to providing an educational environment in which students feel valued and secure. As such, bullying is totally against the mission and purpose of St Joseph’s Nudgee College.
If you are a member of the Nudgee College Community and wish to submit a bullying incident report, you can do so here.
