Engineering Metal Fabrication
Building Skills for the Future
Engineering Metal Fabrication gives students valuable practical experience in a workshop environment, developing the precision, craftsmanship and technical skills highly regarded across engineering and trade industries. Through hands-on projects, boys learn to safely operate specialist equipment, apply metal fabrication techniques and transform designs into functional products. These experiences build confidence, problem-solving skills and a strong foundation for future vocational pathways.
Senior Preparation (Year 10)
Workshop Safety, Precision Machining & Applied Metal Fabrication
Students develop essential metalworking skills through welding, precision machining, CAD-driven fabrication and safe workshop practices.
Working in the Br Vince Connors Trade Training Centre, boys undertake practical projects that build technical capability, attention to detail, problem-solving and workplace readiness. The program provides a strong foundation for further study, Skills & Training pathways and future careers in engineering, manufacturing and related trades.
