Understanding Justice, Leadership and Society
Law and Citizenship empowers students to explore how laws, democratic systems and civic responsibilities shape the world around them. Through investigating legal frameworks, human rights and contemporary issues, boys develop critical thinking, ethical reasoning and communication skills. The subject encourages students to become informed citizens who can confidently engage with society and contribute positively to their communities.
Middle Years (Year 9)
Exploring Law, Democracy and Civic Responsibility
Year 9 Law and Citizenship introduces students to Australia’s legal and political systems, exploring how courts, elections and government institutions operate.
Through contemporary case studies, boys examine justice, citizenship and global issues while developing skills in analysis, argument and communication. Students build the confidence to understand their rights, responsibilities and role in a democratic society.
