Design and Production
Transforming Ideas Into Real-World Designs
Design and Production challenges students to combine creativity, technology and practical skills to develop solutions that improve everyday experiences. Through design thinking, prototyping and hands-on creation of prototypes, boys learn how ideas evolve into functional products. The subject builds confidence in problem-solving, visual communication and innovation while preparing students for future design and creative pathways.
Middle Years (Year 9)
Creating, Refining and Realising Ideas
Year 9 Design and Production gives students the opportunity to bring concepts to life through practical design challenges.
Boys work on project based challenges, developing solutions for real-world clients while exploring product design, 3D modelling, technical drawing and digital presentation. Through prototyping, workshop practice and refinement, students build the creative, technical and collaborative skills needed for future design studies.
