Nudgee Cricket combines a rich sporting tradition with a comprehensive pathway for players from Years 5–12. Led by Cricket Director Tim Lang, the program provides opportunities for cricketers of all abilities to develop their skills, fitness and confidence. Year-round training, preparation and competition support players through the GPS season while building a strong foundation for continued growth and success.

What We Offer
Nudgee Cricket brings together more than 400 students across 30+ teams competing in the GPS Competition, supported by experienced coaches and a comprehensive year-round program.
Players benefit from specialist programs, Athletic Development, camps, domestic and international tours, and clear pathways into Premier Cricket and Queensland Cricket programs. With five First Class turf ovals, three synthetic ovals, 28 practice wickets and six advanced bowling machines, Nudgee provides an outstanding environment for players to develop and compete.

A Proven Pathway to High Performance
With nine GPS 1st XI Premierships, Nudgee Cricket has a proud history of developing players who go on to compete at state, national and international levels. The program has produced notable cricketers including Jimmy Maher, Brendan Nash, Nathan Hauritz, Chris Lynn, Joe Burns, Mitch Swepson, Tom Balkin and most recently Test cricketer Nathan McSweeney.
More recently, Charlie Henderson and Spencer Green have represented Australia at Under-19 level, alongside continued representation in Queensland Cricket Pathways squads. These achievements reflect a program that provides talented young cricketers with the foundations, opportunities and support to pursue the highest levels of the game.
