Built on Participation and Performance
Nudgee College is home to Australia’s largest volleyball program, with 45+ teams taking the court from Year 5-12. We have a proud recent history, being crowned as QLD State Champions in 2026 and national runners up in 2025. The program is delivered by experienced coaches and is centred around creating an enjoyable environment where we can challenge students of all abilities to develop and grow.
Training, Competition and Development
What We Offer
The Nudgee Volleyball program offers more than 45 competitive teams across Years 5–12, supported by a comprehensive pre-season development program and experienced specialist coaches.
Students benefit from individual and position-specific development, tailored strength and conditioning, and state and national competition opportunities, including annual Queensland and Australian tournaments and international tours. State-of-the-art technology supports the development of emerging talent, while a strong focus on team culture, accountability and resilience underpins the program.
Competing Beyond Queensland
Beyond GPS
Nudgee Volleyball provides students with opportunities to compete beyond the GPS competition through participation in the top division of Queensland and Australian Volleyball Schools Cup tournaments.
For students in Years 7–12, these competitions provide valuable opportunities to test themselves against some of the country’s leading school programs, experience different styles of play and develop their skills in new competitive environments. These experiences broaden players’ understanding of the game while building confidence, resilience and a stronger desire to compete at their best.
