Technology
Creating, Designing and Innovating Through Technology
Technology empowers students to become creative problem-solvers who can design, build and innovate in a digital world. Through hands-on projects involving coding, robotics, digital fabrication and design, boys develop the confidence, resilience and technical skills to understand emerging technologies and create solutions for real-world challenges.
Junior School (Year 5-6)
Exploring Digital Creativity and Design
Students develop digital skills through engaging projects in virtual reality, coding, robotics and digital fabrication.
From designing immersive VR environments and interactive games to programming autonomous robots and creating 3D models, boys learn to collaborate, experiment and transform ideas into practical outcomes.
Middle Years (Year 7)
Engineer the Future Through Design and Mechatronics
Year 7 Technology challenges students to transform ideas into functional designs through mechatronics and digital systems.
Students begin by sketching their ideas, using drawing as the first step in communicating and exploring their concepts. They then refine and develop their designs before creating interactive displays using electronics and microcontrollers. Through programming movement, lighting and sound, students learn how technology can bring ideas to life while developing valuable skills in design thinking, creativity and problem-solving.
