Tottenham Hotspur Partnership

Under a new partnership with Tottenham Hotspur, St Joseph’s Nudgee College now offers players and coaches the chance to learn from a world-leading football club.

Nudgee College Principal Peter Fullagar said, “With an outstanding international reputation for player development, the partnership with Tottenham Hotspur is a great fit for Nudgee College and will bring authentic coaching methods used within the Tottenham Hotspur Academy to an Australian School for the first time.”

The Global Football Development partnership is a two-year agreement initially and will see a highly qualified Tottenham Hotspur coach working alongside Nudgee College’s coaching staff for 12 weeks each year.

The partnership will help train performance teams, while overseeing player development using renowned coaching methods developed within the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.

Tottenham Hotspur is well known across the globe for developing young players and their Global Football Development programs monitor each player individually, giving them the opportunity to learn and develop their skills so they can play attacking football with the flair, fluidity and passion that are the hallmarks of the Club.As well as developing players, the program will provide opportunities for aspiring local coaches to be mentored by the Club to enhance the school’s quality of delivery across its teams.

Nudgee is the second Australian institution to partner with Tottenham Hotspur this season following the establishment of an agreement with the University of Wollongong. Andy Rogers, Head of Global Football Development at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club said: “As we continue to expand our presence in Australia, we are thrilled to be partnering with one of the best schools in the country. We have been impressed with Nudgee College’s coaching philosophy, their outstanding sporting facilities and development program, and look forward to working with them to help their players and coaches reach their full potential.”
