Science
Discovering the World Through Scientific Thinking
Science encourages students to explore, question and understand the world around them through curiosity, investigation and evidence-based thinking. Through hands-on experiments, research and the use of technology, boys develop the skills to ask meaningful questions, analyse information and solve problems across areas including biology, chemistry, physics, Earth science and space.
Junior School (Year 5-6)
Building Curiosity Through Discovery
Junior School Science introduces students to the foundations of scientific inquiry through engaging, practical learning experiences.
Boys explore living systems, materials, energy, Earth and space while developing the ability to investigate ideas, test predictions and draw conclusions from evidence. Through experiments, research projects and collaborative activities, students build confidence as young scientists.
Middle Years (Year 7-9)
Investigating Science in the Real World
Middle Years Science challenges students to apply scientific thinking to increasingly complex concepts and real-world issues.
Through laboratory investigations and fieldwork, boys explore areas including cells, chemistry, energy systems, human health, ecosystems and agricultural science. These experiences strengthen analytical skills and prepare students for future studies in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science.
