General Labourer (Operations)
St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking a reliable and motivated General Labourer (Operations) to join our Property & Services team in a full-time continuing role. The commencement date is negotiable for the right applicant. This is a hands-on role supporting the daily operational needs of the College across our large and busy campus. From classroom and event set-ups to deliveries, equipment movement, facility support, and general labouring duties, you will play an important role in ensuring the College operates efficiently each day.
The Role
Working as part of the Property & Services team, you will:
- Set up and pack down furniture, equipment, and spaces for College activities, classrooms, assemblies, functions, and events
- Assist with internal and external facility hire requirements
- Transport, deliver, and move equipment, furniture, parcels, and supplies across campus
- Support storeman duties, deliveries, and operational logistics
- Assist with vehicle and trailer loading for school activities and tours
- Maintain safe, clean, and organised work and storage areas
- Support general labouring, grounds, and operational tasks as required
- Follow Work Health & Safety procedures at all times
This is a physically active role and involves repetitive lifting, movement, and manual handling of equipment up to 25kg.
Employment Conditions
- Full-time permanent role
- Hours: 7.00am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday
- Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required (overtime and penalty rates apply)
- Full PPE provided
About You
You are dependable, practical, and enjoy hands-on work in a team environment. You bring:
- A current manual driver’s licence
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
- Strong physical capability for manual labouring duties
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
