Upper Primary Teacher
St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper Primary Teacher (Years 5/ 6) to join our Junior School for a 12-month contract, commencing Monday 19 January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant Year 5 or 6 class within a values-driven community known for its commitment to excellence, wellbeing, and holistic education.
The Role
As a member of our Junior School team, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across core primary curriculum areas
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment
- Foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every learner
- Uphold the College’s pastoral care and wellbeing framework with care and consistency
- Collaborate with colleagues to design purposeful and enriching learning experiences
- Champion the philosophy of Catholic Education in the Edmund Rice tradition
About You
You are an inspiring, adaptable educator who values connection, curiosity, and growth. You bring:
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or eligibility to obtain
- Relevant qualifications and experience teaching in upper primary (Year 5/6 preferred)
- A reflective, student-centred approach to teaching and learning
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to professional growth and collaboration
