St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking a reliable and motivated Part Time Term Time Kitchen Hand to join our Catering team during school term time. Working within our busy College kitchen, you will play an important role in supporting the preparation and service of meals for students, including our boarding community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team environment and values consistency, structure, and meaningful work.
The Role
Working Monday to Friday, 1.00pm to 8.00pm (term time only), you will:
- Assist with general food preparation
- Wash dishes, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen utensils
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen during and after service
- Support deep cleaning of the kitchen before and after dinner service
- Pack away stores, including some lifting
- Deliver afternoon tea to the Boarding House
- Follow all Work Health & Safety and food hygiene practices
- Manually clean large kitchen equipment as required

About You
You are dependable, hard-working, and take pride in maintaining a clean and organised workspace. You bring:
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality role
- An understanding of food hygiene and safe work practices
- The ability to work collaboratively in a cohesive team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
