General Event Labourer (Operations)

St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking a reliable and motivated General Event Labourer (Operations) to join our Property & Services team in a full-time continuing role. The commencement date is negotiable for the right applicant. This is a hands-on role supporting the set-up and pack-down of College events and activities, including both internal functions and external facility hires. You will play an important part in ensuring events run smoothly across our large and busy campus.
The Role
Working as part of the Property & Services team, you will:
- Set up and pack down equipment and furniture for College events and activities
- Support internal and external facility hire requirements
- Assist with the transport and movement of equipment across campus
- Maintain safe and organised storage and work areas
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet event timelines
- Follow Work Health & Safety procedures at all times
This is a physically active role and involves lifting and moving equipment of up to 25kg.
About You
You are dependable, practical, and enjoy hands-on work in a team environment. You bring:
- A current manual driver’s licence
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
- The physical capability to perform manual handling tasks
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
