Boarding House Parent
St Joseph's Nudgee College is seeking a compassionate and proactive Boarding Parent to provide a guiding influence and parental figure for our young men. This is a part-time, term-time only position. The role commences 27 January 2026.
Key Responsibilities include:
- As a vital member of our Boarding Village—home to 320 boarders—you will work within a dedicated team to care for up to 80 boys in one of our four Houses.
- You will be a "listening ear" and a mentor, assisting with house morale.
- Coordinate afternoon tea/dinner, and ensure the general tidiness and wellbeing of the boarding environment.

You will bring a compassionate nature and strong life skills, including:
- Interpersonal Skills: The ability to relate well to students, staff, and parents.
- Communication: Highly developed verbal and written skills for reporting and house coordination.
- Initiative: The ability to monitor student behaviour and manage basic housekeeping needs autonomously.
