2022 Year 12 Results

I am delighted to update our community with the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) results* of our 2022 Seniors that have been released today.

This cohort's senior journey was faced with many challenges including several weeks of learning from home. They should be commended for their resilience and determination during these times, and the College is proud of the 99.6% of students who attained their QCE.

Continuing on from our strong academic performance in 2021, the 2022 cohort finished with a median score of 84.05% with 34.2% of students achieving an ATAR of 90 or higher.

We would like to acknowledge the significant achievements of the ten students who received an ATAR of 98 or higher. Special congratulations to:

Thomas Robertson 99.50 (College Dux) and Lachlan Barrett 99.45 (Proxime Accessit)

Below is a breakdown of ATARs achieved as a percentage of the cohort within the specified range:

  • 17% of boys achieved an ATAR above 95
  • 34% of boys achieved an ATAR above 90
  • 62% of boys achieved an ATAR above 80
  • 81% of boys achieved an ATAR above 70
  • 94% of boys achieved an ATAR above 60

As well as these strong ATAR results, 101 students were awarded one or more Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications as part of their QCE.

Below is a breakdown of those VET qualifications:

  • 14 engaged in a School-based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SAT)
  • 25 boys achieving Certificate 1
  • 43 boys achieving Certificate 2
  • 62 boys achieving Certificate 3
  • 19 boys completing a Diploma

The College congratulates those graduates who have chosen a vocational pathway including apprenticeships, traineeships and/or employment in 2023.

More details and acknowledgements will be presented in Term 1, 2023. The 2023 College Dux, Subject Duces and ATAR High Achievers will be acknowledged at the College Assembly on Tuesday 7 February.

Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank the parents and staff for their dedication to these boys' education. Your support of these young men and the College throughout the past year, in particular, is greatly appreciated.

We wish each of the 2022 Seniors the very best for their immediate futures.

Wishing you and your family the blessings and joy of Christmas and the festive season.

Mr Peter Fullagar

Principal
