From the Principal
I am delighted to update our community with the ATAR results of our 2021 Seniors that have been released by QTAC today.
It has been a challenging two years of studies for the seniors of 2021 and the College is proud of their determination and ability to focus, despite the unprecedented circumstances that have continuously challenged them.
Academic results continue to strengthen at Nudgee College with the 2021 cohort finishing with a median score of 84.85 with 34.3% achieving an ATAR of 90 or higher.
I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the significant achievements of our nine students who received an ATAR of 99 or higher. Congratulations to:
Caine Day 99.95 (Special acknowledgement: College Dux and one of only 32 students in Queensland to receive the highest possible ATAR.)
Lachlan McGarry 99.85
Rohan Astbury 99.75
Nikhil Lalwani 99.65
Simon Vollert 99.50
Leo Fairley 99.30
Jesse Dando and Joshua Ferns 99.10
Atticus Johnston 99.05
Below is a breakdown of ATARs achieved as a percentage of the cohort within the specified range:
17% of boys achieved an ATAR above 95
34% of boys achieved an ATAR above 90
61.4% of boys achieved an ATAR above 80
83.1% of boys achieved an ATAR above 70
94.6% of boys achieved an ATAR above 60
Beyond the ATAR results for these students, the College is also very proud of all those students (98.8%) who have attained their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). Pleasingly, this includes many graduates who have chosen to commence tertiary education as well as vocational pathways including apprenticeships, traineeships and/or employment in 2022.
More details and acknowledgements will be presented in Term 1, 2022. The 2021 College Dux, Subject Duces and ATAR High Achievers will be acknowledged at the College Assembly on Tuesday 1 February.
Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank the staff and parents for their unwavering support of these young men and the College throughout the year. We wish each of the 2021 Seniors the very best for their immediate futures.
