Well done to Ben Forbes – U/16 Tennis Age Champion.
Thanks to Heather Trethowan and her band of helpers for a successful Barrett Breakfast – excellent numbers once again. Thanks to all the families who donated prizes for the raffles.
Great job from prefects, Jonty Tethowan, Jack Fuller and Jack Harkins. Very well organised in running house assemblies and swimming carnivals as well as helping out at the Barrett House Breakfast. They have also been instrumental in the smooth running of daily affairs in the House. Jonty and Jack F worked tirelessly to get a Showcase performance organised only to be postponed due to rain. Hopefully it will be rescheduled to next term.
Rory Dunn, Will Mclean, Jackson Harte and Callum Stringfellow are also doing a great job as Big Brothers to the Year 5 and 6 boys.
Interhouse Swimming wasn’t our best event – coming ninth. Barrett boys are obviously land creatures as we came first again in interhouse Cross Country. The fifth year in a row they have achieved this. Well done to all boys who gave their best. Especially the boys who ran the Championship 6km event – Jonty Trethowan, Jack Fuller, Callum Stringfellow, Harry Dixon, Leo Swinton, Gus Williams, Inigo Lawrence and Byron Cason.
Well done to all the boys who have worked hard all term in their classes and at home. May you have a restful holiday and pause for a moment to acknowledge and thank your parents for being given the opportunity to be educated at such a fine school as Nudgee.
May this Easter break also be one of renewal and reflection.
