Entry Points

Day student entry years are Year 5 and Year 7 only. 

Boarding student entry years are mainly Year 7 to Year 10. 

If your son's year level is currently waitlisted, please still consider applying. Family movement can occur across year levels and, therefore, vacancies do become available. If we have your details, we will contact you as soon as a position becomes available.

1. Submit Application

Submit Application for Enrolment with birth certificate online.

Please check the Latest Admissions Update located below before completing the application form. 

All enrolment applications require a non-refundable $250 application fee via a credit card, the payment is required to accompany each application.

2. Enrolment Interview

Bulk interviews for students commencing Year 7 are conducted three years prior in March, and students commencing Year 5 are conducted two years prior in July. 

3. Letter of Offer

All applications are reviewed by the Principal following interviews. 

Letters of offer/waitlist/decline will be emailed within three working days of the interview (offers are valid for 21 days).

Upon acceptance of the offer a non-refundable enrolment fee of $1000 is payable. 

 

4. Orientation Day

All new students attend the Orientation Day in August the year before commencing (or complete orientation with House Deans or Pastoral Care Tutors for mid-year entry)

Day student entry years are Year 5 and Year 7 only.

  • Year 5 day students are in line with the Catholic Schools agreement (Please follow this link for further information). Applications close on 31 May two years prior to commencement. Applications received after this time will be waitlisted.
  • Year 7 day student applications close on 15 February, three years prior to commencement. Applications received after this date will be waitlisted.
  • Day student entry in other year levels is subject to availability, and all applications will be waitlisted.

 

Boarding student entry years are mainly Year 7 to Year 10. 

Boarding applications are accepted for all year levels, subject to availability. The majority of boarding students will commence in Year 7.

For more than 130 years, boarding has been at the heart of Nudgee College, and we are committed to continuing to provide the opportunity for families from across rural, regional and remote Australia. Their sons need to live away from home to attend school.

 

2024 - waitlisting day and boarding

2025 - waitlisting day, minimal boarding positions available 

2026 - waitlisting Years 6-12 day, accepting applications for Year 5, accepting applications for boarding

2027 - waitlisting Years 6-12 day, accepting applications for Year 5, accepting applications for boarding

2028 and beyond - accepting applications for day and boarding positions

At St Joseph’s Nudgee College, there are two main entry points for enrolment - Year 5 and Year 7.

Transferring Students into Year 11 and 12

All new applications for Year 11 and/or 12 for Nudgee College, please ensure you read the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) Transfer of Student Enrolment information.

This includes transferring students from Queensland, Interstate, VET Qualifications and Overseas Students.
