At the recent Queensland Junior Athletics Championships, Year 12 student Logan Bischoff pulled off a gold medal winning performance in the under 18 long jump event.

He also earned a silver medal in the shot put, and was a finalist in the 100 metre sprint.

As a result of his efforts, Logan will be heading to Sydney at the end of March for the Australian Junior Athletics Championships.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Logan has been selected in the Queensland Heat team for the national competition.

“My goal is to maintain my Australian top eight status for the fourth year, and to jump an A Squad qualifier in the long jump,” he said.

“2017 for me is all about being a great ambassador for St Joseph’s Nudgee College as we head towards the 100th anniversary of GPS Athletics in October.”
