Over the past week, St Joseph’s Nudgee College has been celebrating National Reconciliation Week, which has included saying prayers of reconciliation, as well as painting and didgeridoo demonstrations by our Indigenous students.

Around this time each year, the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF) awards six paintings by an Indigenous artist, to six individuals to recognise their contributions to the education of young Indigenous students.

This year, the College’s Indigenous Education Coordinator Ms Annie Banks was awarded custodianship of one of the artworks.

The College would like to congratulate Ms Banks on this prestigious acknowledgement of her contribution and support to the learning journeys of AIEF students.
