Despite a rather tumultuous season, the Nudgee College 1st XI Football team have finished the season victorious, tying for the GPS Premiership with Toowoomba Grammar School.

This is the 1st XI’s third GPS Premiership in four years.

Their final game against St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace resulted in a 5-0 win at home.

Football Director Mr Jamie Pybus said this year’s 1st IX squad is top age heavy, and a Premiership is the perfect way to end their Football experience at Nudgee College.

“One of the main aims of the Football Program is to provide opportunities for boys to improve their Football skills and reach their potential during their time at the College, and after they leave,” he said.

Football at Nudgee College is continuing to grow, with a record number of boys taking to the field in the blue and white this year.
