Located on a vast 136 hectare site at Boondall, Nudgee College is only a 15 minute drive from Brisbane Airport, and in close proximity to several major highways. It is close enough to the city to be convenient, yet far enough away to have it’s own special atmosphere. Here at Nudgee College, we hire out some of our outstanding facilities to external groups and visitors.
Accommodation - As one of Queensland’s leading boarding schools, the College offers an exceptional standard of accommodation and quality food options, ideal for sporting and community groups during the school holidays.
Conference & Function Centre - This is the biggest conference and function centre on offer at the College. The centre is an ideal venue for medium to large groups and fills a niche within the Brisbane conference venue offering. Ideal for 1,500 people theatre-style or 800 for a formal sit-down dinner.
Catering - The fully licensed commercial kitchen offers extensive catering options and is flexible, offering numerous meal options and different catering levels.
Auditorium - The auditorium can seat 298 people in theatre style seats with fold away desks, a stage area of approximately 13.5m x 7.5m, plus plenty of room backstage and in the wings. Equipped with its own bar, air conditioned foyer, courtyard and green space available for your attendees to mingle, have pre-drinks, hold intermissions and for post-event functions.
Chapel - This beautiful heritage-listed building is located at the front of the school. Seating approximately 300 people, the Chapel is available for Weddings and funerals.
Sporting Ovals - The College has an extensive number of sporting fields, including Wilkes Oval, Hendry Oval and The Flats, available for Football and Cricket season.
Athletics Centre - With the World Athletics certified nine lane synthetic running track and all the Field event facilities, the Athletics Centre is available to host training, athletics carnivals and meets.
Aquatic Centre - The five lane 25m pool and a nine lane 50m pool, with starting blocks at both ends, operates year-round. Staffed by qualified swim instructors and lifeguards, supervision can be employed for any required event.
Tennis Centre - Of our 12 courts, eight are purely tennis courts, while the other four courts are also marked to be set up and used as basketball courts. On site, there is a full tennis pro-shop run by Nudgee College’s tennis partner, TennisGear.
Indoor Courts - The McKennariey Centre consists of two indoor courts that can be used for basketball, volleyball, futsal, badminton and European handball, plus equipped with high ceilings, good ventilation, ample lighting, aluminium player bench seats and a spectator’s area looking over the courts, with grandstand seating for approximately 250 people.
Cricket Training Centre - The College has 12 practice cricket nets located within our Flats facility and another seven near our Tennis Centre. The Flats consists of two turf wickets and five synthetic wickets available for matches.
Gymnasium - The gym is air conditioned and stocked with quality equipment, such as: Barbells, Recovery equipment, Injury prevention equipment, Stability equipment and Squat racks.
Bus and Transport Options - Nudgee College has its own fleet of modern, air conditioned and seat-belted buses that are available for wet hire only. The 12 buses range from 22 seater to 59 seater.
Parking - The College has ample parking on site for more than 500 vehicles, and regularly uses external traffic management companies for our events so we can ensure everything from arrival to departure runs smoothly.
