The College ​is calling for applications for a Permanent Full Time Kitchen Supervisor.

The role

The Kitchen Supervisor liaises with the Catering Co-Managers to determine tasks and priorities. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supervising kitchen and dining room staff.  Duties include: 

  • coordinating staff, 
  • delegating tasks, 
  • assisting in food preparation,
  • assisting with staff training,
  • maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, and 
  • follow all Work Health & Safety practices while performing work duties.

This is a hands on position.  The Supervisor is required to assist with food preparation and washing dishes and utensils, as required.

Preferred applicants will possess.

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Food Safety and Handling Certificate. 
  • The ability to work and manage in a cohesive team environment.
  • Employment at the College is subject to Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian legislation, Working with Children “Blue Card”.

Roster

  • Afternoon shifts - Monday - Friday, 12.00pm to 8.00pm.
  • Approximately eight Saturdays (between April and September)  working 8.00am - 4pm. (overtime rates apply)
  • Approximately four night functions per year (penalty rates apply).
  • This position is classed as Level 2 within the Service Award under the current Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and will attract penalties and overtime as required.
