Agricultural Science Coordinator

The College is looking for an experienced teacher to drive the Agricultural Science subject for Years 10 to 12. 

Work in a well resourced environment and facilities | On campus cattle herd of up to 20 head

The weekly teaching load will consist of:

  • Three classes of Agricultural Science, Years 10 to 12.
  • One class of a Science or another subject area.
  • One line release for subject coordinator duties.

This is a permanent teaching position with a 4 year + 4 year coordinator position commencing in January 2021.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered and qualified to teach in Queensland, or be able to gain this registration prior to starting.
  • Qualified to teach Agricultural Science, ATAR, Years 10 to 12.
  • Experience in and a depth of knowledge of the QCAA Agricultural Science syllabus.
  • Capacity to teach another Science discipline or subject area.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of VET teaching requirements.
  • Capacity to teach Rural Operations, non-ATAR, Years 10 to 12.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment.

  • Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition.

Salary

Your salary will be paid in line with your classification (years of experience), as per the Teacher's Award of the Catholic Religious Institute Schools Award and subject coordination management tier.
