Thanks mum
May 16, 2012
St Joseph’s Nudgee College students had prepared for Mother’s Day last week with gift stalls and a Mother’s Day afternoon tea.
Students in Years 5-8 purchased gifts from Mother’s Day stalls in the lead up to the day while Years 5-7 students hosted their mum’s for afternoon tea.
The Years 5-7 stall was organised by current Year 6 parent Mrs Barbara Mark. Mrs Mark purchased and wrapped over 200 items which students purchased on stall day. The gifts were priced at $5 and $10 with the gap between the cost of the item and the amount it was purchased for being donated back to the College.
During the afternoon tea, Term 1 Ian Brusasco Awards were presented to Years 5, 6 and 7 students. Recipients of the award were selected on the basis of compassion, persistence and resilience.
Recipients for Term 1 were:
- Year 5 – Marcus Cutuli, Campbell Duncan and Harrison Van Der Meer
- Year 6 – Matthew de Groot, Joshus Flook, William Muller and Jack Yeadon
- Year 7 – Nicholas Duggy, Connoe Gordon, Jack Harrison Tristan Knibbs and Jake Ross.
Congratulations to all these young men on this award.
