St Joseph’s Nudgee College’s Tierney Auditorium will come alive on Saturday August 13 with a celebration of the arts at the gala opening celebration of DimensionsNC11.

The gala opening celebration will officially open the annual DimensionsNC Art Festival which this year will run from Saturday August 13 to Tuesday August 16. The Festival also coincides with the Family Picnic Day on Sunday August 14.

Attendees at the gala celebration will no doubt marvel at the outstanding work of feature artists the da Lozzo family and will be entertained by four of the Ten Tenors when Tenorissimo! – the Four Tenors perform.

The da Lozzo family is a previous Nudgee College family and have experienced DimensionsNC before with father Louis exhibiting in one of the original art shows. Louis, Lucette and daughter Judy offer art lovers a unique viewing experience with their combination of contemporary Australian landscape (Louis), romantic impressionist street scapes and stylised portraits (Lucette), and evocative still life paintings and drawings (Judy).

Heading the night’s entertainment will be four of the Ten Tenors most experienced former members who are now part of the group Tenorissimo!. The group has received standing ovations at the end of almost every performance and have a growing army of fans who follow them around the country. In addition to all-time favourites from the Bee Gees and other well-known bands, the tenors will perform much-loved classics including Nessum dorma and Ave Maria.

Guests will also be entertained by one of Queensland's most sought after corporate bands, SuperCity and Nudgee College Rock Bands.

DimensionsNC is a fundraising initiative of the Nudgee College Cultural Events Committee and is about celebrating creative excellence.

The Annual Art Awards provide a platform for emerging Brisbane artists and extraordinary Art students to exhibit alongside acclaimed professionals and invited featured artists.

The Opening Night Celebration Gala will be held on Saturday August 13 at 7pm. To download a ticket booking form click here
