Chess
Chess only has a brief GPS past commencing in GPS in 1996. Nudgee College has a proud history of success in GPS Activities but is still to win a GPS Chess Premiership.
Despite the lack of 'cups' Nudgee College has produced many fine players, most notably Max Lescowitz, and continues to compete fiercely each year in GPS and other school competitions. Many boys find a home year round in the "Chess Room" G32. The College has an annual Chess Championship and an Inter-house Chess competition, the latter giving many Nudgee College students, who normally wouldn't play Chess, an insight into this great game.
