Building the future ... with spirit

Nudgee College strives to bring out the very best in our boys in learning and in life. Our academic resources and infrastructure are second to none, with the College building for excellence in academic achievement into the future.

The Nudgee College Foundation proudly embraces this goal and, through the Nudgee College Building Fund, is assisting the school via an ambitious program of works that will see current and future students learning and growing in state-of-the-art facilities that will be the pride of the school for generations.

Spirit of achievement.

The Foundation is proud of its achievements and recognises the generosity of the College community as it embarks on the next stage of its exciting journey. Recently completed projects include:

  • A Super Staff Room above the College Museum in the recently recommissioned Treacy Building -  Estimated Costs $150,000
  • Conversion of the Staff Club into new Boarding Supervisor accommodation - Estimated Costs $150,000
  • Reopening of Mary's Tower to include construction of a new staircase and surrounding viewing platform - Estimated Costs $350,000

Other projects under consideration include the refurbishment of NITEC in 2013 to include expanded Library, Learning Support and Computer Laboratories (at an estimated cost of $6m) and the potential acquisition of the Nudgee International College building for conversion into a Performing and Visual Arts precinct.

The Foundation Board will continue to support these goals through fundraising and, in consultation with the College Principal and College Board, will determine its role in ensuring these projects come to fruition.

Spirit of giving

The facilities the boys enjoy today have been built on the back of the generosity of past families and the College community who were inspired to imagine the legacy they will leave for the future of this unique and historic school. Building the future with spirit is about contributing what you can, gifts large and small are all received with thanks.

Gifts to the Nudgee College Foundation and College Building Fund are tax deductible and can be made in a number of ways:

  • Regular Giving Plan: Regular donations to the College Building Fund are the lifeblood of our fundraising activities. These regular contributions enable the Foundation to maintain a regular schedule of works and ensures the boys continue to enjoy academic facilities that are second to none. Most donors find it convenient to make a regular contribution by monthly deduction from a nominated bank account whilst current parents often pay the tax deductible donation with their tuition fees. One off donations can be made at any time through the Nudgee College Foundation.
  • Annual Appeal: As major projects take place at Nudgee College, the Foundation will periodically conduct special capital campaigns to help realise the completion of these projects. These capital campaigns rely heavily on donations from our current and past parents, Old Boys and the wider community. Every donation counts, every amount makes a difference.
  • Bequest Program: Benefactors may be interested in leaving a gift of money, property or other items from their estate in their will to benefit future generations the gift of a Nudgee College education. We would be happy to assist you to provide the necessary wording for your bequest.
